Sven-Goran Eriksson has said he has absolutely no plans to allow Martyn Waghorn or Steve Howard to leave the club during the summer as they remain in his plans, although obviously if either player informed him that they desperately wanted to leave, he accepts he would have to reconsider his position.

‘I’ve already told Martyn I want to keep him here,’ Eriksson told thebluearmy.co.uk.

‘He has been injured for a long time now but he should be fully fit for the start of pre season. If we had an important game tomorrow, he would play, he would start. For the moment he is absolutely a Leicester player.’

Adding for Steve Howard.

‘Steve is a Leicester player, if he wants to go I would think about it, but I don’t think so. I hope he will stay in the future.’
