N’Guessan Deal Done

Leicester have today completed the long-awaited signing of Lincoln City winger Dany N’Guessan on a three-year deal.

The 21-year old joined the Imps from Auxerre in 2007, and has since gone on to achieve cult status at Sincil Bank with performances which earnt him his place in the League Two team of the year.

Foxes manager Nigel Pearson said: ‘Dany is an extremely exciting prospect. He impressed us during our home game against Lincoln in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy last season as he is a versatile and talented player.

We are certain that the addition of Dany will heighten competition for places and with his potential to improve he has a bright future in the game.’

N’Guessan becomes Pearson’s fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Wayne Brown, Jack Hobbs, Chris Weale and Robbie Nielson.

As the player is under 24, Lincoln are entitled to compensation for the Frenchman, a fee which is still being negotiated to attempt to avoid a tribunal. It is understood that Leicester were keen to secure N’Guessan’s services before the squad return to pre-season training next week.
