It’s a quiet day, so I might as well talk about the reports suggesting that Mark Hughes and Martin O’Neill are now the supposedly leading candidates to replace Nigel Pearson in the summer if we fail to reach our stated aims.

The Daily Mirror say that those two have ’emerged’ as the leading candidates, since well, I assume cold water was poured on the last leading candidate Paul Ince.

Not going to go away this one is it, the press are going to keep stirring this up and using it as a distraction everytime a result doesn’t go our way sadly.

Hopefully the players will stay focused on games as they ultimately can put this to bed by turning our form around.
