It’s being reported that Matt Mills has had a bust up with Nigel Pearson and that he’s now set for a loan spell at Leeds United.

The Daily Mail report that the bust up occured because Mills questioned why he had been dropped from the team for the Norwich match and apparently Pearson doesn’t like to be questioned.

The Leicester Mercury however have more details and say that they understand that Mills then didn’t train with the first team prior to the Derby game.

Adding that Mills is ‘said to be devastated to lose the captaincy and still wants to play for the club.’

After not making the bench for the Derby game, Pearson was asked about the situation and said in answer to whether Mills still had a future at the club.

‘You will have to wait and see, it depends. My concern is always to pick the side I think is best to win a game. That is what I have done tonight and always will. I am interested in the group being winners.’

It’s now believed that Neil Warnock is in discussions with the club about a loan deal, but the sticking point could be his reported £25,000 a week wages.
