Confirmation that Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric has been named as one of 5 arrested in connection with an investigation into football corruption during his time as Portsmouth chairman.
The 5 men arrested and questioned by London City police are now known to be:
Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp, Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric, Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie, Rangers midfielder Amdy Faye, and agent Willie McKay
The arrests were part of a large dawn operation by London police which involved around 60 police officers investigating 8 premises around the UK.
It must also be said at this point that while Milan Mandaric has been arrested and questioned by police, there is no indication that he has been charged or is guilty or any crime.
Indeed all involved must be presumed innocent at this time.
The involvement of the police with Leicester’s current chairman will none the less undesirable press attention to a club that has had more than its fair share of attention following incidents at La Manga and more recently the sudden departure of former manager Martin Allen.

not good for us, not good for you, and definatly not good for harry or milan. the press have, of course, tried to make them apear guilty, but i can only hope that they get through it all!
At this moment in time, all must be presumed innocent. I hope it stays this way. Not quite the interview that Harry was hoping for I’m sure!
So the police have nothing better to do than drag these men thru the mire.
No doubt they are doing the same with the government!
