Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric has today invited Leicester City fans to explain to him why they sang in support for recently departed manager Martin Allen.

Allen, left his post at Leicester after just 4 games at the club, with his last match being a 4-1 thumping of Championship leaders Watford.

Speculation over the reasons for his leaving have been rife, and this has not been helped with the timing of his departure, just hours after the original League Cup tie with Forest was abandoned due to Clive Clarke’s heart failure during the half time break. A non-disclosure agreement between Allen and the club has meant that details behind his departure have been hard to come by.

Mandaric told the Leicester Mercury today he was ‘confused and upset’ upon hearing fans chant Allen’s name during the rearranged tie with Forest.

Milan has promised to listen to fan’s reasoning behind their support for Allen and ‘Then I’ll tell you why I think you were wrong.’

The meeting will be help at 7pm on Thursday at the Walkers Stadium. A full article will appear on this site for those unable to make it.
