Matt Mills has said he knows he has plenty of work left ahead of him if he wants to be in peak shape come the start of the season.

The 25 year old missed a fair portion of pre season training owing to a toe injury, and now he’s determined to make up for lost time.

Speaking to lcfc.com the defender said.

‘I’d only trained for a couple of days so I know there are things I will only be able to do when fully fit – but I’m getting up to full speed. Come the opening day of the season, I’m sure everyone will be redy.’
