Leicester City welcomed Arsenal to the King Power Stadium earlier this evening for our penultimate Premier League clash of the 2017/18 season.
CLAUDE: “The performance was important tonight to make amends for our last two matches. We showed what we can do when we play forward with good intensity to our game.” #LeiArs

With Arsene Wenger looking to go out on a high in his final two matches, and Leicester City struggling under fellow Frenchman Claude Puel, the night probably didn’t pan out as most expected.
Kelechi Iheanacho opened the scoring 14 minutes into the tie and Arsenal saw themselves reduced to ten men as Konstantinos Mavropanos saw a straight red card within a minute of our opening goal. The floodgates certainly didn’t open, however, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang levelling the scores up eight minutes after the halftime restart.
VARDY: “Important to give the fans a performance and a home win tonight and to try to take some momentum into next season. It’s our first win against Arsenal since getting back into the Premier League, so a good night.” #LeiArs

It remains to be seen as to whether Puel has won himself any credit back with the fan base, as Jamie Vardy dispatched a penalty 14 minutes from time and Riyad Mahrez made it 3-1 with an effort on the 90th minute to secure all three points and I believe our fifth win in the last 20 if memory serves.
37 games too late if you ask me. Great result tonight and against an inform arsenal is even better but still need to explain the rest of the season and our poor performances 🤔

Genuinely disappointed it’s taken so long to show anything close to this performance.
