Leicester City face Southampton in our next Premier League fixture and we now know who is in charge.
The game on Thursday, April 19 at the King Power Stadium sees Roger East take charge as referee.
The assistant referee roles go to Simon Beck and Derek Eaton, with the fourth official named as Neil Swarbrick.
East has taken charge of 25 games so far this campaign, showing 87 yellow cards and three red cards and he was busiest in the Championship tie between Queens Park Rangers and Millwall back in September where he showed seven yellows and one red.
In terms of Leicester this season he hasn’t taken charge of a single game involving us so at least for this year, he’s somewhat of an unknown quantity unless you have a long memory.
In 2016/17 he was in the middle for clashes against Swansea City, West Ham United and Watford and those games returned the available nine points so let’s hope that is an omen for this tie as we look to put Burnley disappointment behind us.
