All that is required for the season long loan move of Tsepo Masilela to be officially completed is a medical and a work permit according to his agent.

Speaking to kickoff.com the 26 year olds agent, Mike Makaab revealed that everything was in order, and now it was just a case of waiting for the paperwork to tick through on a visa so a medical could be had.

“We are working on a UK Visa so Tsepo can go over for a medical. We extended his contract by a year to cater for the loan.’

The loan fee is suggested to be in the area of 400,000 Euros, and Leicester will have a permanent option should they wish come the end of the loan for a set fee.

Makaab adds that for the visa paperwork that ‘your guess is as good as mine’ in terms of when that will happen, but with a number of weeks left until the start of the season you’d be expecting Masilela to spend his fair share of time on the training pitch first so delays in that regard won’t cause any real issues you wouldn’t have thought.

Gee whizz. I knew there was a list of about a dozen being chased but you guys really are picking up the pace now, aren’t you!! Any more on Jong and Maynard?…

  • SvensAmbition says:

Not heard anything on Jong today, but we are apparently preparing another bid for Maynard – least that’s what was being said earlier tonight until I retired to the garden for a relaxing couple of cans lol

Coming together nicely, just got to hope they actually fit with the club and can push us to the next level now.

Quite. And a fee agreed for Mackail-Smith now, so I hear? Him and Maynard together is a prospect to put plenty of fear into Championship defences…

Does seem like Sven is going for the best in the league as opposed to raiding the Prem and offering big money again which I’m pleased about. Seem to be moving away from the ‘bully them’ style in attack as well slightly, but I do still wonder if we will see Yak and the ever linked Heskey come in still so we have the battering ram burly type to fall back on. Certainly not a quite summer anymore!
