Monday saw two rumours in particular about Leicester City players, we have the weekly Riyad Mahrez linked with somebody pieces – this time Juventus – but Tottenham Hotspur were also said to have turned down the chance of a Mahrez deal, in preference for maybe getting hold of Demarai Gray.

The Mirror carried the speculation, so beginning with Mahrez news and his most recent ‘there’s interest but no offers’ media interviews as previously covered, they say that the six time consecutive Serie A Champions have made the Algerian international a ‘potential alternative’ for Bayern Munich’s Douglas Costa in case they are unable to get a deal over the line for him.

Arsenal speculation is once again referenced with Arsene Wenger’s words about the player, but again there’s no movement there, and they claim that Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino have passed on the opportunity to lodge a bid.

Because Pochettino is said to be a long term admirer of 20 year old Gray.

The Mirror reports he’s believed to be unsettled owing to a lack of game time but he has a suggested £22million release fee which is a bit rich for Tottenham for some reason.

Fans would instantly point to the pecking order that puts Mahrez ahead of Gray and that would change with Mahrez going this summer.
