It’s being reported that Algerian international Riyad Mahrez has now given up on his dream of a move to Barcelona and is weighing up a four year offer from Arsenal.

Spanish outlet Sport reported a short time ago that our winger had been ‘offered’ a four year deal at the Emirates Stadium and with him acknowledging that Barcelona would not be making a move for him this year, he’s now heavily considering Arsene Wenger’s offer.

The report states that Barcelona have other options available to them, and they are chasing them down rather than making a move for the man they say would cost 40million Euros, but other than that there is nothing that you can hang your hat on.

Arsenal seem to be offering a four year deal without being in negotiations with Leicester City presumably for the 26 year old PFA 2016 Player of the Year.

Mahrez has announced his desire to leave this summer in what he claims is an agreement with our owners and SkyBet continue to have the Emirates Stadium as the most likely destination – 11/10.

But I’d imagine there’s legs in this one yet.
