England centre half Harry Maguire has been speaking about a good point for Leicester in the draw with Bournemouth at the weekend.

Heading to Dean Court for the game, Leicester kept the clean sheet in the scoreless draw and with it being a tough game for Leicester, Maguire felt we could be happy with the point.

Speaking to lcfc.com Maguire felt that with resolute defending across the game, we could’ve even nicked it at the end with several late chances.

‘In the end, maybe it was a good point. It was a resolute performance, but we weren`t at our best and we know that. When you`re not at your best, you need to get results and we`ve come away with a point. Maybe in the end we could have nicked it if we were a bit more clinical.’

Maguire went on to say.

‘Shinji Okazaki has probably had the best chance in the second half. The first half wasn`t good enough and we knew that at half-time. We were lucky to go in at 0-0 and in the second half we were a lot more solid. We were back to ourselves and we had a lot more opportunities to hit them on the counter attack. A point is a good point away from home in the Premier League.’

Walking away with the point in the end left Maguire happy enough, as he felt lots of sides would struggle to take all three points off them on their patch.

‘We know they play at a high tempo and it`s a hard place to come. Not many people will come here and take maximum points off them. They`re a good side and they showed that in the first half especially. To be fair, we didn`t start well enough, with or without the ball. We were pressing and getting picked off and we were getting frustrated at times. At half-time, the gaffer had a big team talk with us and in the second half we upped our game.’

Maguire went on to say.

‘I felt in the last 20 minutes, when Riyad came on, he started causing them problems. We were a team in the ascendency and the team that would maybe nick it on the counter attack. We had a number of good chances and maybe we weren`t as clinical as we could have been. Overall in the game, we`ll walk away and be happy with the point.’
