It was being reported yesterday that Leicester City would target Hull City centre half Harry Maguire as it’s expected Newcastle will be in for skipper Wes Morgan this summer.

The Mirror reported that Leicester will look to a younger defence for the future this summer and with Hull relegated and the impressive displays of Maguire in their backline, that the 24 year old could well be a target given our previous failures to land Burnley’s Michael Keane.

They also suggested that there would be strong interest in Morgan from newly promoted Championship side Newcastle United.

There’s nothing concrete in any of these suggestions other than 33 year old Morgan will be joined by Robert Huth at that age in August, and Maguire only has one year remaining on his contract with a deal turned down and the expectation they will now cash in.
