It was being reported yesterday that Leicester City had struck agreement with Hull City over Harry Maguire but an offer for West Bromwich Albion’s Jonny Evans had been rejected.

With speculation linking us to Maguire for a number of weeks, it had been reported that a deal was close to being done and yesterday the BBC were claiming that a £12million plus add ons offer had been accepted by Hull. It’s believed the total deal is worth £17million.

They also said a medical for the player had been done as well so unless confirmation from Leicester has come through ahead of this being timered for the morning, that should follow in the coming hours you would think.

Sheffield United also benefit as they are believed to hold a 10% sell on fee.

The BBC also report that Craig Shakespeare is interested in Northern Ireland captain, 29 year old Jonny Evans. They say in the report on Maguire that we had formally offered £10million to West Brom for him but they have knocked us back as they have no intention of selling him this summer.
