Levi Porter is starting to become a little hero after popping up for a second game in a row to score a goal for Leicester and make sure they picked up all three points. Last week he scored the winner against Wolves with only minutes to go and this week he scored just after half time to give Leicester a 2-0 lead against Barnsley.

The first half was a tight contest with both teams having good chances to take the lead. Leon Knight had Barnsley`s best chance but he didn`t even trouble the keeper, when his header at the back post went well wide of the goal.

Leicester also had a decent chance to take the lead mid way through the first half but Stephen Hughes shot from the edge of the area hit the post.

Leicester eventually took the lead when Elvis Hammond followed up a shot from Danny Tiatto, the Barnsley goalkeeper only managed to parry the ball to Hammonds feet and he made no mistake with only a couple of minutes left before half time.

Leicester sealed the game five minutes into the second half when Levi Porter managed to juggle the ball past two Barnsley players, before slamming the ball of the crossbar into the back of the net from only a couple of yards out.

This goal seemed to knock the stuffing out of the Barnsley players and they seemed to have resigned themselves to defeat even though there was 30 minutes left of the game. The Leicester players were more then happy to keep position and play the clock down.

The next game for Leicester is at home against Cardiff City who seem to have struggled over recent weeks. Leicester fans will be hoping that the team can make it 3 wins in a row on Saturday and give the players and fans some confidence going into Christmas.
