Leicesters Investors

For the past few weeks there have been rumours on message boards and in the national press of possible interest from Milan Mandaric in buying/investing in Leicester City. The ex-Portsmouth chairman has refused to dismiss the speculation and was even quoted as saying it was 50-50 whether he would invest or not.

To many fans this interest was a glimmer of light at the end of a long tunnel which has seen the club struggle with relegation and administration in the past. Although the club seem to have recovered from administration it has still left a big hole in the clubs finances, which has resulted in a lack of money for new signings.

The news of a possible Mandaric takeover will mean funds available for the manager to improve the squad and change Leicester from Championship strugglers into promotion hopefuls.

What Leicester City fans might be surprised to hear is that there is more then one party who are interested in the club. It is unclear whether this is just the club trying to make sure Mandaric doesn`t get the club on the cheap or if there is genuine interest from other parties.

Either way Leicester City fans might start believing that Christmas has come early if a bid is successful and will hope the new investment will help push Leicester back in the right direction after too many years facing down hill.

As the Fratton end still sing,”There’s only one Milan” !!! The man is a legend, and bar us having a new ground he delivered the goods on every single promise made.

We wouldn’t be where we (Pompey) are now without him.

Will it happen? Good for you foxes if he does, he’s not great at stadium building but otherwise he bought our beloved bankrupt Pompey, he was prepared to be unpopular AND still invest his own money as he turned our club in to a proper professional organisation. He didnt abandoned us, when he probably should have, he stuck by the club, found the right buyer, then showed the new man how to become a fan, he has left us with a great future. There’s only ONE MILAN !!!

Milan Mandaric is a legend in Portsmouth. If it wasn’t for Milan turning up with his money. desire to win and enthusiasm for our club we wouldn’t be in the league now. He saved us from extinction. How many other clubs have a chairman that loves football as much as this guy. You won’t get better.
