Leicester Need To Up Offer For Hull Goalkeeper?

It’s being reported that Hull City have told Leicester City to up their offer for goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic if they want a deal to go through.

We have long been linked with Jakupovic this summer and speculation only increased once the sale of Ron-Robert Zieler to Stuttgart was confirmed, and the reports suggested that having impressed last season in the Premier League despite Hull being relegated, Leicester had made a tentative £2million offer for the 32 year old.

The Hull Daily Mail are now reporting that they understand that with three senior goalkeeper’s on their books – Jakupovic, Allan McGregor and David Marshall – they are open to selling Jakupovic who only has 12 months remaining on his current deal, but they want slightly more than the £2million offered to make it happen.

Hull can of course extend his deal by a further two years so they aren’t quite between a rock and a hard place when it comes to the one time Switzerland international but from their point of view it is the goalkeeper deal that makes sense because there’s interest in him.

An offer similar to what we received for Zieler – reportedly around the £3-3.5million mark would apparently do it.
