It was being reported yesterday afternoon that Leicester City were in advanced talks with Hull City over goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic.

The BBC suggested that the fee would be in the region of £2million as Jakupovic only has one year remaining on his deal at the KCOM Stadium.

He played in 22 Premier League games last season as Hull were relegated back to the Championship but the 32 year old would clearly be No 2 to Kasper Schmeichel as we are expecting Ron-Robert Zieler to move back to Germany this summer given the speculation that surrounds him.

Jakupovic has international experience for both Switzerland and Bosnia and if the story is true, he would become our second capture from Hull this month following on from Harry Maguire’s signature the other day.

It must be said, Hull City’s Official Site was quick to rebuff these suggestions, releasing a statement which read.

‘Contrary to a report in the media this morning, the Club would like to place on record that we have not accepted any offers or received any bids for Eldin Jakupovic. The Club will always confirm transfers if and when they are completed and announce via our official channels.’
