Mansfield Town 0-0 Leicester City

Leicester were held to a disappoiting goalless draw by Mansfield Town at Field Mill last night.

Despite the lacklustur performance according to most fan reports, there was some good news as centre back Aleksander Tunchev returned to action since the serious knee injuy he incurred at Crystal Palace in the F.A. Cup last season.

New signings Dany N´Guessan and Richie Wellens made their first pre-season appearances of the summer, the former beginning the game up front with Steve Howard following the continued absence of Matty Fryatt.

Mansfield had the ball in the net in the second half of the match, only for the offside flag to foil the celebrations.

N´Guessan appeared to find himself in the thick of things during the match, but ultimately couldnt find the net during the 90 minutes.

Choruses of ‘Championship team, youre having a laugh’ could be heard coming from the home faithful, quite simly summarising a performance to match the dreary weather of the evening.
