Within the last hour or so, Leicester City have confirmed that Reading defender Matt Mills has agreed to join the club.

The 24 year old completed his medical earlier tonight and has put pen to paper on a four year deal.

Speaking to lcfc.com Sven-Goran Eriksson said.

‘Matthew is a quality defender and we are delighted to have secured his services. He is strong, composed and he is a natural leader.’

The initial fee, although undisclosed by the club, is reported to be between £4-5m, but it’s being suggested that should certain conditions be met the deal will easily become Leicester record signing.

Seem to be welcoming quite a few people to the club thesedays, welcome Matt!
