Leicester have been drawn to face Leeds United in the second round of this season’s Carling Cup.

The Foxes overcame Macclesfield Town at the Walkers Stadium last night in an entertaining 4-3 victory, goals from Robbie Neilson, Richie Wellens and a pair from Matty Fryatt securing the passage through.

Meanwhile Simon Grayson’s Leeds reached this stage after a convincing 4-0 win over Lincoln at Elland Road.

The tie is scheduled to be played on the week commencing August 23rd.

  • Should be a decent cup tie, Grayson is likely to put out his strongest side as he rarely uses the squad.
