Leicester City winger Max Gradel has joined League One high-fliers Leeds United on an initial one month loan period.

The 21-year-old has found first team opportunities extremely limited this season for the Foxes, with just one substitute appearance at Macclesfield in the League Cup under his belt.

Gradel put on a sterling show against Leeds at the Walkers Stadium last season in City’s superb 1-0 victory, a performance which has almost certainly not gone unnoticed by Simon Grayson.

It is understood that manager Nigel Pearson was reluctant to allow the youngster to move out on loan, but it appears as though Gradel’s understandable first team football demands have got the better this time around.

Gradel will link up with the Leeds United squad ahead of their match against Norwich this evening.
