Sven-Goran Eriksson has said that whilst there’s a chance we could sign Kyle Naughton on a permanent deal, Spurs may want a prohibitive fee for him.
Now whilst everyone knows we have money to burn, Sven and the board have gone to lengths recently to talk about the long term and self sustainable future of the club. Yes in the quest for Premiership football the board have said they are willing to make a loss if necessary to begin with, they are talking about sensible speculation and taking calculated risks….not doing a Chelsea or a Man City and paying wildly over the odds for players.
So while Eriksson is keen to get Naughton, he’s not going to let Spurs fleece us.
Speaking to BBC Radio Leicester the manager said.
‘It’s possible to take Kyle but he is extremely expensive. The club wants too much money for a defender but of course, he is a great player – we’ll see.’

As a Spurs fan I think it depends how much we want, I mean we paid 4 million for him so I would think we’d probably want 5 in return which seems fair to me, certainly enjoyed watching him play in the Championship last season.
Around the £5m mark would seem fair enough, and expected to be honest – which if it’s what you’re asking it seems a strange set o comments from Sven. That said, this early on Harry could be trying his luck with an 8-10 valuation lol
