Dougie Freedman has told the press that it’s just a bit of paperwork that Leicester need to sort to finalise the deal for Jermaine Beckford.

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury the Bolton manager explained that a deal was close and although he hadn’t been able to wrap it up in time for their trip to Spain, he doesn’t believe it will take long now.

‘It’s just the last little bits of paperwork that need to be completed. We left the last details with Leicester and, hopefully, they’ll be completed very soon.’

The paper suggests it may be the means of payment, ie not an upfront sum, but rather a transfer fee by instalments. In any case it’s unlikely to hinder the deal at this late stage really.
