Holloway Says: ‘We’ll Be Back, But I Might Not?’

Milan Mandaric is renowned for his willingness to wield the axe so with Leicester relegated to League One on Sunday there is every chance that he could do this once again, with Ian Holloway the man with his head on the block.

Holloway insists that the club will return to the Championship quickly, but he does admit that his own position is under threat and he fears the sack: ‘Of course I do,’ Holloway told BBC Sport when asked if he did feared the sack. ‘Milan’s going to be as devastated as anybody – we did the worst thing and got relegated. Nearly everything we’ve touched here hasn’t worked.’

Mandaric has appointed four permanent managers during the course of the season, so Holloway’s inability to keep the club in the Championship could see him next in line for a place in the dole queue, he added: ‘It’s a marvellous club and it’s had far too many changes but I will say Leicester City will be back, probably in a very different form with different people playing for them.

‘We’ll have to wait and see how it pans out but the overall season has been a disaster and it’s culminated in this.’

Should Holloway be sacked as Foxes boss, or should he be given the time to rebuild and try to bring the club back from League One?
