Hendo number one?

There were several things against Cardiff on Saturday that Leicester fans could moan about and one of them was Paul Henderson.

For two of the goals it seemed as if Henderson could have done more to try and get to the shots. Although it may not seem significant, since Kelly has put Henderson as his number one goalie, there have been several occasions when Henderson seems to lack the consistency to be a number one goalkeeper.

Henderson joined Leicester from Bradford City at the start of the 2005/06 season in a free transfer. Henderson had gained a reputation as a good goalkeeper whilst at Valley Parade, but his refusal to sign a new contract led to him being dropped from the team and eventually leaving.

Since arriving at the Walkers, Henderson has not necessarily had the best of starts. His tendency to punch the ball when coming for crosses leaves many City fans covering their eyes. Recent performances have seen Henderson make some vital saves, but he also seems to make some basic goalkeeping errors and he has only kept four clean sheets this season.

Leicester have always had a long history of world class keepers, which includes the names of Gordon Banks, Peter Shilton, Tim Flowers, Ian Walker and some might even say Kevin Poole and Kasey Keller. Whether or not Henderson will fit in to this elite group is yet to be seen, but City fans can expect to see him between the sticks for the foreseeable future.

Personally I would prefer Logan in goal. He seems a lot more confident in catching the ball and his kicking is ten times better then Hendersons.
