Guidetti open to Foxes move

Manchester City striker John Guidetti has admitted that a loan move to Leicester would be difficult to turn down.

The 18-year-old striker has been linked with a switch to the Walkers Stadium to link up with Sven-Goran Eriksson, the man who brough the young Swede to England initially.

And Guidetti says that he would relish the opportunity to re-join Eriksson at Leicester.

“I can imagine that (Eriksson) is interested, after all he was the one who got me to City in 2008,” he said.

“I carry on scoring goals and then we will see if I will go to Italy, get a chance at City or join Eriksson at Leicester. If I play well clubs will be interested.

“I haven`t spoken to Eriksson as such – he is a manager and he has a lot to do all the time.

“But everything is up to City, and if they want to let me go or not.

“It would be a damned good loan for me, they`re a good team with great players. It would be awesome.”

Guidetti has impressed for Sweden’s underage sides with his useful scoring record, and has also caught the eye in City’s youth team since joining the club in 2008.

A loan move looks a likely option given the plethora of attacking options available to Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, and Guidetti’s words may spark Eriksson into life to step up his interest in the young forward.
