Talk is rife with the news that Blackburn Rovers striker Paul Gallagher will be confirmed as a Leicester City player tomorrow morning.

The Scotsman is reported to have completed a medical earlier today, and will be available to face Barnsley on Saturday.

Manager Nigel Pearson is keen to improve upon his somewhat questionable current strike force, and looks set to make Gallagher his first permanent striker signing of the summer.

Leicester were rocked by the hamstring injuries suffered by both Steve Howard and on loan Sunderland striker Martyn Waghorn in Tuesday’s draw at Sheffield United, the extent of which has not yet been announced.

Gallagher has moved out on loan four times since beginning his career with Rovers, with spells at Preston, Stoke and Plymouth Argyle over the last four years.

And it now appears as though the player is set to end his Ewood Park frustration by completing his move to the Walkers Stadium in due course.

Meanwhile, the capture of French trialist striker Yann Kermorgant could be completed imminently.
