Nigel Pearson has allowed one youngster and one veteran striker to leave Leicester on loan on month long deals.

Ricky Sappleton has joined Bournemouth, a club at which Max Gradel enjoyed a successful loan last season. City have given Bournemouth permission to play Sappleton, 18, in their Carling Cup match tonight.

The other leaving the Walkers Stadium on a temporary basis is Barry Hayles, with him going to Cheltenham. Hayles, now 36, hasn’t been given permission to play in the Carling Cup however and will also sit out the League One meeting between the two clubs at the end of August.
