Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric could be ready to cash in on 19-year-old left back Joe Mattock, according to the Daily Mirror today.

It is reported that Mandaric would be looking to seek around £2m for the youth academy graduate who has already made 62 appearances for the club since bursting onto the scene as a 17-year-old.

Mattock has reportedly caught the interest of a number of clubs including West Ham, Everton and Ipswich in recent months, and the player may now find himself heading for the Walkers exit should Mandaric wish to cash in.

West Ham had a substantial bid turned down for the player in January 2008 whilst Leicester were in the Championship, and may come back with a fresh attempt for Mattock.

  • personally Dont want to see him leave ,still a young lad and a true lcfc fan,so hope its not true

  • Yeah but I think £2m would be too good to refuse mate surely? He was hardly our best player last season, a bit of a weak link at times for me.
