Foxes linked with Coventry pair

Sven-Goran Eriksson is hot on the trail of our-of-contract Coventry pair Marlon King and Kieren Westwood.

The Foxes chief has already began plans to transform his side into promotion material next season, and has reportedly targeted the Sky Blues pair as the men to help the cause.

Westwood, a highly-rated Republic of Ireland international, will leave the Ricoh Arena when his current deal expires, and is expected to attract the attentions of several high-profile outfits.

The 26-year-old has previously stated his intentions to play in the Premier League, with the likes of Wigan having previously shown an interest in the stopper.

But if Eriksson can persuade the Irish international of the Foxes’ promotion credentials, City’s goalkeeping crisis may be solved.

Meanwhile the Swede is also keen on striker Marlon King, who has hit 12 goals in 22 matches in the current campaign to keep the Sky Blues afloat.

The former Watford man was released from prison just last year following an assault on a female in a night club just last year, and would make for a hugely controversial capture from the Swede.

Coventry are desperate to tie King down to a new deal at the Ricoh, but the striker would almost certainly find offers from bigger clubs difficult to refuse.
