It’s being reported that Leicester are one of three clubs who have had a £3m bid accepted for Peterborough’s 27 year old striker.

Mackail-Smith made quite a name for himself last season by finding the back of the net 35 times in only 57 appearances, but the Foxes will have to fight off a Premiership element if they hope to capture his signature.

Stoke, Everton, QPR and Wigan have all been linked with a move for the player, and I believe the Posh chairman has already confirmed that they have accepted one offer from a Premier League team but they have remained unnamed.

If the rumours are true, you expect some kind of confirmation later in the day.
