Leicester are hoping to secure the services of Tottenham loanee Kyle Naughton before their clash with Manchester City on Sunday.

Naughton has been on loan at the Walkers Stadium since October, and has impressed during his short spell with the Foxes.

Foxes chief Sven-Goran Eriksson knows Naughton is surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane, and is hoping to tie up a deal for the 22-year-old before the weekend.

“We are trying to sort that out as quickly as possible so he can play against Manchester City,” Eriksson said.

“We want him on the pitch on Sunday, but that is a question between Leicester and Tottenham. He wants to stay.

“Buy or loan, one way or the other, whatever for me. I would like to buy him. He is good for now and for the future.”

Naughton has been an ever-present since making the switch on loan from Tottenham, making 15 appearances in a Foxes shirt so far.

I have been impressed with his as a player for us and others including his time with sheffield Utd, but with Hutton, Corluka and Walker, something has to give and it looke likely to be Naughton to be the unlucky players to make way and I think he would be a great signing for you guys.

Yeah we’d definitely like him here, he’s a breath of fresh air really in comparison to Robbie Neilson, who basically can’t attack. I don’t see any reason why this one won’t be tied up.
