New developments have arisen in the transfer rumour surrounding Swindon Town striker Simon Cox.
According to East Midlands television news, the Foxes could be making Cox their third signing of the season in the next few days, following the arrivals of Jack Hobbs and Wayne Brown. A reliable internal club source has also exclusively revealed that the deal is around 80% done.
Leicester chairman has also stated his firm intentions to bring the striker to the Walkers Stadium this summer, saying: ‘He is a quality player and Nigel and his staff think highly of him.We are interested but we are facing competition. He is on a shortlist.’
Cox would certainly prove to be an extremely popular signing amongst Leicester fans after scoring an incredible 32 goals for a struggling Swindon side in League One last season, including two against the Foxes.
However, competition is sure to be fierce for the 22-year-old, with West Brom also strongly linked with the striker.
