Leicester City skipper Wes Morgan has said nobody is looking further than the challenge Stoke City will pose this weekend as we host them on home soil.

Paul Lambert’s side travel to the King Power Stadium on Saturday for a 12.30pm kick off and 34 year old Morgan was in front of the media yesterday to preview the game.

Speaking to lcfc.com with Leicester reaching the quarter finals of the FA Cup with victory over Sheffield United last Friday, Morgan said nobody was getting carried away with a growing cup run as our focus had to be on getting back to winning ways in the Premier League following our earlier defeat to Manchester City.

‘It was very disappointing day for us and, even though we came up against probably the best team in the Premier League this season, we still expect better of ourselves. It`s about putting that behind us and the only way we can do that is by getting a positive result in our next game against Stoke and we want to show what we can do.’

Sitting in eighth place in the league table, we are a single point behind Burnley and Morgan says that remaining calm and taking it one game at a time will help us to work our way further up the table between now and the end of the season.

‘It`s pretty tight and we don`t want to look too far ahead. We`ll keep going as we are, we`ll keep picking up points and we`ll see where we are at the end of the season. All we can do is our job, keep winning games, keep picking up points because there are not many games left between now and May.’
