First steps towards new season

A new fixture list brings a host of questions and problems for Foxes fans. It`s a chance for all those loyal Leicester City fans to start planning the various trips up and down the country. Also it allows for fans to start thinking of the excuses for missing the family Boxing day meal and how to explain to their partners that they are going to a Leicester match on Valentines day (as was the case last season against Derby County).

Although the fixture list is only the first step on the road to the new season, it is a chance for Leicester fans to start making calculations and predictions as to where City are going to pick their points up through the season.

Depending on what type of fixtures Leicester are given, may effect how their season will progress. A few easy games at the beginning of the season could see confidence grow in the team and a good run to base the season on. A few difficult games and City could begin at the wrong end of the table and it could be another difficult campaign.

All Leicester fans will have certain games they will look out for whether it is due to friendly rivalry between family/friends or the long away journeys which the fixtures require. Either way you can guarantee that come Thursday when the fixtures have been released, there will be a buzz between all Leicester fans that the new season is approaching fast and that the serious football begins again!

From a fellow Plymouth fan: I hope we meet you quite early in the season when you are getting yourself ready – so we can hammer you 😉

I’m hoping this year that the long away trips to Cardiff, Sunderland and Plymouth will be at weekends and not mid week.

I’d prefer to play the better sides at the start of the season before they get into their stride.
