Sven-Goran Eriksson has said following our Bury victory in the Carling Cup that the squad will be rotated regularly, as all the players should be on the pitch.

Sven made 10 changes to the team sheet and was rewarded with a 4-2 victory.

Speaking to lcfc.com following the game, he said.

‘When we play as often as we do, it’s more or less my obligation to let everyone play because they deserve to play. We have a very good squad and you can’t even say there’s a first and second team.’

Again Jeff Schlupp has helped himself to a few more headlines, and Sven did notice.

‘Jeff might have had a hattrick again, but he did very well and is young so he has to learn. He competed well so these are good games for him to learn in.’

With confidence boosted by this win, Sven will no doubt be hoping that carries through to the Southampton match in the league.
