Elvis Hammond Robbed

Video footage studied by City manager Craig Levein suggests that, once again, Elvis Hammond has been robbed of a vital goal by an incorrect offside decision.

As the City boss rightly pointed out, Leicester were rampant at the time and might well have gone on to win the match.

The same thing happened at Derby and on other occasions, all begging the question, when are the authorities going to introduce cricket-style video replays to decide vital decisions.

Someone like Sheehan will be suspended after being sent off for two non-malicious fouls – two honest mistakes if you like – but the officials can make a decision which might well have cost City much-needed points and get away with it.

What always amazes me is how they can give a decision that isn’t an actual fact when they are only to ‘give what they see’.

If it didn’t happen how could they see it and if it was too fast for them to see properly then is that not the conclusive argument in favour of video replays?

Elvis lives! He’s too alive for the refs. He’s got to slow down a bit or start from further back. The officials are only human. Once Elvis slips into overdrive none of em can believe he’s run so far in so little time.
Up goes the flag. Computers are the only things that can keep up with Elvis……………………………………………..bring on the computers
