Leicester City manager Claude Puel has also confirmed today that Shinji Okazaki is now out of the trip to Manchester City this weekend and the game continues to come too quickly for skipper Wes Morgan.

Japanese international striker Okazaki took a ‘little’ knock and although he shouldn’t be sidelined for too long, he’s definitely out of Manchester City and could then be another week on top of that.

Morgan’s ongoing hamstring issue also sees him miss the match.

Speaking to as he met with the media, Puel explained.

‘There has been a little injury with Okazaki, he will not be available. He received a kick on his knee and I think he won`t be available for two weeks.’

34 year old centre half Morgan picked up his hamstring injury in last month’s three nil victory over Huddersfield Town on New Year’s Day and he’s again nearing a return to action as he is back out on the grass at the training ground, but this weekend’s action comes too soon and would be a risk for him.

“I think it`s not for the moment, he is not match fit to come back but it`s encouraging, of course, that he can come back this week in training session. He has had two good training sessions with quality and he will continue to improve and win more density in his play and we`ll see when he can come back into the squad.”
