Midfielder Danny Drinkwater has said we must put the Peterborough disappointment behind us, and turn all our focus to progressing in the FA Cup.

Speaking to lcfc.com explained that everybody in the dressing room was gutted with the result, but that it’s not something we can dwell on as we have to move forward, both in the FA Cup but also the league, as we can’t let the Peterborough result derail the work we’ve put in so far.

‘We’ve gutted, but it’s onto the next game I suppose. It’s about the cup on Tuesday, and then onto the game after that. The gaffer won’t allow there to be a hangover, we’ve got a good opportunity to get to the next round and hopefully we can take it.’

Despite the loss, one thing that did please Drinkwater was that at least we didn’t lose our position in the league because of it, small comfort maybe, but comfort nontheless.

He does however say we did enough to win the game, but the first goal we gave them was sloppy.
