Leicester forward, Louis Dodds has had talks with Port Vale about a move to the League 2 club.
Dodds spent last season on loan at Lincoln City in League 2, scoring 9 goals. He was offered a new contract, before Nigel Pearson arrived but he rejected it as he wanted to see who came in as manager and whether or not he would get a chance.
The youngster was left out of the tour to Slovenia and according to Port Vale manager Lee Sinnott the deal we happen soon, he told www.port-vale.premiumtv.co.uk ‘Both Louis Dodds and Simon Heslop have agreed terms and now it is a matter of what happens between the clubs concerned.’
The player, who progressed through the Academy System is still only 21 and so would need a tribunal to settle a compensation fee for City as he is under 24.
