Derby County’s on-loan Leicester City striker Paul Dickov has spoken out for his desire to remain at Pride Park until the end of the season.

The 37-year-old has spent almost four months with the Rams, playing an intergral part in Derby’s Championship campaign since his loan switch from the Walkers.

Nigel Clough and Derby’s faithful have been generally encouraged by the Scot’s performances so far this season, form which could prompt Clough to extend the player’s loan until the end of the season.

Dickov said: ‘It’s no secret that I’ve loved it since I’ve been here, so hopefully we can sit down and get something sorted out.

We’re on a mini-run with four games unbeaten. The previous games we had lost I felt we could have got something from them.

But we’re playing well with two homes games coming up and our home form has been very good, so we’re looking forward to it.’

Dickov’s contract with City runs out at the end of this campaign, and the chance to impress for one final contract with the Rams is no doubt firmly on the striker’s mind as he moves ever-closer to the end of his career.
