It’s being reported today that Leicester City are close to sealing a deal for Mali international forward Fousseni Diabate.

Sky Sports reported earlier today that their sources had indicated that an undisclosed fee had been agree with French Ligue 2 side Gazelec Ajaccio for the 22 year old’s services and he would give manager Claude Puel increasing options in attack as he can apparently operate as either a striker or a winger.

He would of course become Puel’s first signing at the club following his arrival, but Sky believe the plan would be for him to join with an eye to adjusting in our Under 23 side first before he made a senior squad step up.

With Diabate apparently coming in and Claude Puel already admitting Ahmed Musa could be on his way out, that does indicate there might be some news on the Nigerian international soon enough.
