Nigel Pearson’s plans for next season have been put into full swing with the club announcing today that a deal has been done to bring Ritchie De Laet and Matty James to the King Power Stadium.

Both players have signed on until June 2015 but no transfer fee has been announced.

Speaking to lcfc.com as the news was announced, Pearson said of the two players.

‘Ritchie and Matty are both players we have been monitoring for some time and we are very pleased to be able to bring them both to the club. Both are hungry, young players with winning mentalities, experience of Championship football and a desire to be successful. They will add considerable quality to the squad.’
