City to face Mac attack!

The draw took place at midday and will see Leicester start their cup campaign at home against the League 2 outfit.

All 1st round games are set to be played the week commencing 21st August, which is only 5 weeks after Leicester are set to play Macclesfield in a pre season friendly.

Those Leicester fans that are thinking about attending the game will be hoping the club follow last season in the League cup and offer discounts to season ticket holders.

Last season saw Leicester have a good run in the League Cup, reaching the fourth round. Before Bolton Wanderers eventually knocked them out, after extra time.

One thing is for sure; the pre season friendly between the two sides has suddenly become a possible scouting match. Which will allow both teams to highlight dangerous players, Hopefully Macclesfield’s list will be longer then Leicester’s.
