Leicester City travel to Portman Road tonight to take on Ipswich in this rearranged fixture which will see Leicester finally catch up with the rest of the league on 21 games.

The original fixture was due to be played on the 18th of September but, due to City’s good form in the League Cup, the tie had been rearranged into an already busy Christmas period.

Leicester face a difficult task away at Ipswich boasting an unbeaten home record in the league this season, only dropping 2 points.

Leicester themselves can point to an away record that has only seen them defeated once on the road, at Charlton. However 6 draw has meant that City find themselves going into the game only 2 points above the relegation zone.

Should City be able to take the three points then they could climb as high as 15th place in the league, although defeat would leave the foxes facing another nervous end to the season.

Holloway welcomes back 3 of his first team strikers.

‘We have made a few new signings today – or at least it feels like we have. Matty is now back from suspension, while DJ and Collins were both back out on the training pitch. That gives me a few more options.’

Ipswich Town Team News:

Alex Bruce is a definite absentee for this game whilst Alan Lee and Gavin Williams face late fitness tests.

Player to watch: Pablo Counago

In the possible absence of Lee, Counago will be charged with leading the line for Ipswich.

With 8 league goals to his name already this season, the Spanish striker is enjoying his second spell at Town

Leicester City Team News:

Cambell, John and Fryatt all return to give Holloway some more attacking options.

Midfielders Wesolowski and Kenton look set to miss the game.

Player to watch: Fryatt

Fryatt’s three match suspension coincided with a poor spell for Leicester, picking up just a single point in three game, 2 at home.

Leicester will be hoping for a return to winning ways now that their attacking options are increased.
