City close to another record crowd

Taylor has never been back with a League team since his 13 month stint as the Leicester manager who succeeded Martin O’Neill in 2000 ended in such ignominious failure 13 months later.

But, although villified by Leicester fans he is highly regarded in Hull where there are many promoting his name as a prospective new England manager!.

Anyway his appearance on Saturday adds further spice to what is an important bottom-of-the-table clash in any case.

And, City fans have the added interest of catching a first glimpse of their new loan signings defender Rufus Brevett and winger Andy Welsh who may or may not play some part.

These special factors might just swell the gate past the current home record for the season of 25,497 achieved in the last Walkers game against high-flying Leeds.

Got to say well done Leicester fans. Great support in troubled times. Dare I say well done Derby and Forest too for the same reason? East Midlands – tough times and loyal fans.
