Barry Hayles for whom Cheltenham had loaned from City is not allowed to play due to a clause in the loan contract. Defender Shane Duff also looks set to miss out through injury. Although Dean Sinclair and Jennison Myrie-Williams are expected to return for the Robins.

The youngster is on loan at Whaddon Road from Bristol City. Known for his height and pace, he can play either as a striker or a winger and has already scored for the Robins this season.

Long term absentees Joe Mattock, Stephen Clemence and Patrick Kisnorbo remain sidelined. Aleksander Tunchev is set to return from a knock whilst playing for Bulgaria. Matt Oakley, who missed the cup game against Fulham is also expected to return from a leg injury.

This week my player to watch has to be Maxi Gradel. Already a hero amongst City fans after only 4/5 games, his skill and pace could provide the difference this Saturday. He made an instant impact against Fulham on Wednesday night after coming off the bench at half-time playing a part in both of our goals. If I’m totally honest I have barely anything to write here apart from the fact that we have NEVER played Cheltenham in a Competitive Fixture. We have only ever clashed 3 times in reserve and friendly matches, the most recent being in July 2007 with a friendly at the Walkers providing a 2-0 victory for City with Matty Fryatt and Darren Kenton grabbing the goals.

I predict a pretty routine 2-0 victory for City and I’ll have a pop at Matty Fryatt and Lloyd Dyer getting the goals.
