Leicester are set to complete the loan capture of Chelsea left-back Patrick van Aanholt.
Leicester chief Sven-Goran Eriksson looks to have won the race to sign the highly-rated defender, ahead of fellow league rivals Nottingham Forest and Swansea.
It is believed Leicester were willing to pay significantly more of his wages.
The 20-year-old has made six appearances for the Blues this season, starting most recently in the 7-0 drubbing of Ipswich in the FA Cup.
Van Aanholt spent a successful loan period with Newcastle last season, playing seven games for the Magpies in their victorious Championship campaign.
And the young Dutchman looks set to provide much-needed competition for current left-back Bruno Berner, whose place in the first team looks under threat once again.

He is very good, a huge promise and have an exciting way of playing the game. If you get him on loan, you’ll be lucky.
Yeah, it all looks very promising at the moment. It’s basically a done deal from what I hear, so fingers crossed it’ll be sorted tomorrow.
